Lexus IS

Lexus have just released the first official pictures of the new IS saloon. The new car remains true to the LF-CC concept that premiered at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. 

Lexus IS

Its front consists of a new spindle grille that is visible on new Lexus models. A new, powerfully articulated headlamp cluster design, with Lexus's signature L-shaped daytime running lights presented independently below.

Posh interior

The new front design give the IS an aggressive and powerful front look. The rear profile consists of a rising line flowing from the blower body into the rear lamp clusters. L-shaped LED lights adorn each side of the rear. A new black diffuser and two exhaust pipes complete the new rear of the IS. 

LF-CC Concept

The cabin design is clean and elegant, with an ergonomically ideal environment created for the driver. It has an increased width and longer wheelbase to boost interior comfort for rear seat passengers and luggage capacity.

Driver meter from the Lexus LFA

The combination of the extended wheelbase and a thinner front seat design delivers best-in-class knee-room and access in the rear. The new-design driver's seat is more comfortable and provides better lateral support.

Supportive front seats

The seat hip point and the angle of the new steering wheel are inspired by the LFA supercar. Refined cabin materials plus the introduction of a high-quality analogue clock give the interior a posh look.

Side profile

The center console features electrostatic switches that need just a finger touch to adjust the air conditioning temperature.

Lexus IS F-Sport

The new Lexus IS F Sport models can be instantly recognised thanks to their special grille and front bumper design. The "waistline" of the spindle-shaped grille is set higher than on the standard models, creating a larger lower grille that can draw in the greater volume of cooling air needed for sportier driving. The IS F Sport version also comes with an exclusive seat design that provides extra support. 

Stylish rear

The seats are made using an integrated foaming method that ensures there are no gaps between the upholstery and the filling, giving both excellent comfort and great lateral holding.

Aggressive front look

The car also comes with a driver’s meter with a moving center ring that is also visible on the LFA.
