Partial rear design
Under its long bonnet is a choice of four V6 engines. There are two petrol (FSI and TFSI) engines and two TDI engines.  The entry level petrol engine is 2.8 FSI that produces 204hp and 280HM of torque. The engine can sprint from 0 to 100km in just 8.3 seconds. Top speed is 235km/h and it will consume 8 litres of fuel per 100km covered. Next is the top of the range petrol engine, the 3.0 TFSI. The supercharged V6 engine produces 300hp and 440Nm of torque.
Diesel engine
The engine is matted to the S tronic transmission system and Quattro powertrain as standard. The car sprints from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.6 seconds. Top speed is limited to 250km/h. fuel consumption is just 8.2 litres per 100km covered. The new 3.0 TDI engine comes in two versions. The S tronic and quattro all-wheel drive are also standard here. The second 3.0 TDI produces 204hp. It is front wheel drive and consumes an average of 5.3 litres per 100km covered. 0 to 100km/h is dealt with in about 8.1 seconds. Top speed is limited to 234km/h. The engines are married to a choice of two automatic transmission engines.
One of the finest car interiors
There is the continuous multitronic that sends power to the front wheel and a sporty seven-speed S tronic that works with quattro permanent all-wheel drive to send power to all the four wheels. An optional sport differential actively splits the power between the rear wheels to help improve the handling of the A7.

Side mirrors with intergrated LED indicators
Inside one is treated to one of the best car interiors in the world. The whole interior has a wraparound effect consisting of a horizontal line encircling the entire cabin. It extends in a curve from the driver-side door sill across the instrument panel to the passenger-side door sill. The wrap-around embeds the driver and front-seat passenger into the interior.
LED rear lights
The strongly driver-oriented cockpit comprises the instrument cluster, the air vents and the control elements. The aluminum finish highlights the rotary knobs. Both the shift gate and the start-stop button feature subtle red backlighting. The interior fabric ranges from Millano and Valona fine leathers to a leather and Alcantara combination.
Electric window controls
There is also a leather package for the center console; the armrests in the doors and the door pull handles. One can also choose between an aluminum trim and a wood trim that is adorned on the center console, dashboard and door handles.  An optional driver information display is available.
Unique wheels
The screen is located on the instrument panel. It’s available either as a 7-inch or 5-inch screen. It displays information and settings in a logical menu structure and is controlled using the leather multifunction steering wheel.
Majestic rear design
Another standard feature is the on-board computer with efficiency program. It provides tips for efficient shifting, includes a gear-change indicator and shows how individual systems affect fuel consumption. A 6.5-inch central on-board monitor covered in a gloss black frame is hidden in the center of the dashboard.
On board monitor
It extends electrically upward in an elegant motion when the ignition is switched on. The instrument panel, which is inclined toward the driver, contains the control unit for the highly efficient deluxe air conditioning system and secondary switches for direct access to the most important functions.
Long wheel base
The screen also functions as a display for the MMI (Multimedia Interface). One can also order the A7 with an 8-inch touchscreen monitor that displays navigation maps. The system also integrates a large hard drive that can also be used to store music and files, convenient voice control and a Bluetooth interface.
Touch pad and electronic parking brake
Its high-resolution 8-inch monitor displays map images and many points of interest in 3D. The A7 can also connect to the internet via the Bluetooth car phone. It can also do the same on WLAN spots and can also connect mobile devices to the internet. A Bose sound system keeps occupants entertained. However one can order the A7 with a Bang & Olufsen featuring 1,300 watts of power and 15 speakers. The A7 also has a driver head-up display.
Wood trims
It projects the most important data onto the windshield as symbols and digits that appear to float at a distance of roughly 2.5 meters on the road. There is enough room for four occupants. Its front seats are mounted sportily low. Ten-way seats are standard. Options include power adjustment, a memory function and seat heating. A deluxe seat is also available. This offers 20-way power and pneumatic adjustments. The long wheelbase provides for generous amounts of space. Spacious and practical storage is available at all of the seats.
Large boot
Its long rear hatch that extends far up into the roof covers a large luggage compartment lined with fine carpeting. Its low loading lip helps make it convenient to use. Standard capacity is 535 liters. Fold the rear seats and the space increases to 1,390 liters. The rear hatch that functions as the boot lid can be opened or closed electronically.

Cockpit
Hosts of safety system are also on hand to assist the driver. There is the new adaptive cruise control with stop & go function (ACC). It uses the data from four radar sensors, a video camera and the ultrasonic sensors. It then ensures that the car is at a safe distance from the other cars and also monitors the road for any obstacles. Its functions range from automatic stop & go in rush-hour traffic to the electronic monitoring of high-speed highway driving at speeds of up to 250 km/h.
MMI controls
Another high-end system is Audi side assist, which from speeds of 30 km/h upwards warns the driver of critical situations when changing lanes. It uses radar to monitor the space behind the Audi A7 Sportback. A night vision assistant uses a thermal imaging camera and highlights persons that it detects in front of the vehicle. It projects its black-and-white images onto the instrument cluster display. If it detects a potentially hazardous situation, it marks the person red and optionally displays a warning symbol in the head-up display. The Audi pre sense safety system is available in a number of different versions in the A7.
Comfortable rear seats
It uses the highly networked systems on board and initiates preventive measures in the event of an imminent collision. Audi pre sense rear is coupled with Audi side assist. If it detects an imminent rear-end collision it ensures that the traffic behind is alarmed via the emergency flashers. If the situation escalates, preventive protective measures are activated.
Front seats
If the driver does not stay in the lane, the system intervenes gently in the steering to steer the Audi A7 back on course. A park assist system uses ultrasonic sensors that detect parallel and horizontal parking spaces on the side of the road while driving slowly.
Enough rear leg room
If the space is large enough, the system takes over parallel parking at the push of a button. The driver only has to apply the gas and brake. The park assist system maneuvers the A7 into the smallest of parking spaces. The system can parallel park with multiple forward and reversing motions, and can also park the car in spaces perpendicular to the road.

Roof merges with the rear hatch door
The stunning Audi A7 is available at a base price of €51,600 (Kshs. 6 million excluding taxes). Tick all the option list and you will have a price that is breath taking like the A7 Sportback itself.
