Info Post

The Ford Focus has been one of the most favorite Ford model in the world. It has won many hearts thanks to its outstanding value, high level of comfort and safety. However many of its fans attribute their love to the Focus with its impressive handling. To create the new Focus, designers and engineers from Europe work hard to perfect its design and power capabilities. The result was three new versions ranging from a new sporty five-door hatchback, a sleek four door-sedan and a practical five door wagon.

Ford Focus

All three versions of the Focus come with a striking front end consisting of a large front grill, stylish headlamps and a low streamlined front that helps channel air all over its sleek new body.

Ford Focus Sedan

The side profile consists of lovely contours that help give it a stylish and aerodynamic side. Unique rims are available to enhance the side look even more. At CMC the entry level sedan I saw came with 16 rims with lovely wheel caps.

Rear of the Hatchback

The Focus hatchback comes with larger uniquely styled rear lights that hug each end of the rear with grace. The Sedan and Estate versions come with stylish lights. They are also smaller compared to the hatchback version but just like the youthful hatchback the lights hug each side with grace to give the car a neat mature look.

Luxurious interior

Power comes from a choice of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol version engine choices begin with a 1.6-litre Duratec Ti-VCT petrol engine with an output of 104hp and 123hp. Next is a powerful1.6 litre Ford EcoBoost engine.

Rear of the Focus Estate

The lightweight all-alluminium engine is available with either 148hp or 178hp. Torque figures are pegged at 240Nm and 270Nm respectively. The 178hp version has a top speed of 222km/h. It can accelerate from 0-100km in just 7.9 seconds. Fuel consumption is an impressive 6.0litres/ 100 km. For owners seeking a more economical version, Ford offer a 1.6litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine with either 94hp or 113hp.

Comfortable rear seats

The engines future a new fuel injection system and turbocharger that helps deliver an impressive fuel consumption figure of only 4.2litres/100 km. Torque figures are also impressive as well. Both engines can produce a peak torque of 270Nm and 285Nm for the 113hp version.

Unique rear lights for the hatchback

If this engine does not deliver your taste a large 2.0litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine is also available with 113hp, 130hp and 161hp. All engines are married to a six-speed manual. However one can order the Focus with a high-efficiency Ford PowerShift 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Ford Focus Estate

Ford engineers have ensured that the dynamic design of the exterior is also reflected on the interior. Step inside the Sedan, Hatchback and Estate and a modern, cockpit-style interior, with the stylish center console greet your eyes with their design.

Side profile of the Estate

The center console that seems to wrap the driver provides easy access to major vehicle controls while a display panel helps relay information about the car. A new MyFord system can also be ordered.

Powerful front lights

This incorporates an 8-inch touch screen that lets the driver control the intuitive infotainment system. The infotainment system can also connect with Bluetooth and external media systems using an optional SYNC connectivity package.

The package also allows the driver to operate the infotainment system using voice commands. Each particular Focus comes with superior trim materials that create a premium feel throughout the car.

The Estate and Sedan version can also be ordered with a leather package that allows owners to fully customize the interior with any desired option. Standard leather trim package is available. With this package the seats, door panels, central armrest and instrument cluster come covered with black leather and have a contrast stitching pattern.

Stylish rear of the Sedan

Price remains as reasonable as ever. The entry level Focus Sedan is valued at Kshs 2.95 million (£15,000) at CMC.  The starting price of the 5-Door hatchback is pegged at Kshs 2.7 million (£14,000) and (£16,650) Kshs 3.26 million for the practical estate.
