It’s now official; the Ford Fusion has now been christened the Mondeo name. That means that finally the whole world will now enjoy its new amazing design and economical engines.
Ford Mondeo |
The new Mondeo will be available as a four door or five door saloon and as a wagon. It will also be the first Ford feature headlamps with LED high-beam, low-beam and signal lighting. LEDs are quicker to illuminate, more durable and more energy-efficient than traditional filament bulb headlamps. The LED headlamps also turn with the steering and adapt beam projection to vehicle speed thus providing a greater depth of illumination at high speeds and a wider field of vision at slower speeds.

Posh and classy interior |
The start stop system shuts off engine power smoothly when the car is stopped and seamlessly restarts the engine as the driver releases the brake pedal. Another version is a 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine that comes with a six speed SelectShift Automatic transmission system.
Ford Mondeo 4-door Saloon |
The last in its power plant menu is a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gasoline engine. These together with new lithium-ion batteries that are lighter than in the previous model make it one of the most efficient hybrid saloons in the market.
Rear of the Mondeo wagon |
Connected to the hybrid version is a choice of six speed manual or automatic transmission systems. There is also an all new 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine that delivers even more fuel economy. The new Mondeo will also be offered with an all-wheel drive wheelbase. This delivers superior traction, performance and handling.
Unique styling |
The interior delivers high levels of style and comfort. Soft-touch materials, premium finishes and equipment contribute to give the car overall classy feel inside. It will also be fitted with MyFord Touch, a voice-activated in-car connectivity system.
Stylish front cockpit |
This comes with an eight-inch colour touchscreen and also has the ability to function as a wifi hotspot for up to five devices.
Rear of the 4 door Mondeo |
The system also enable drivers to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road while controlling phone and media player functions from connected devices, as well as the vehicle's climate control, radio and CD-player, and navigation system, using voice commands.
Rear of the 5 door Mondeo |
Lane Keeping System and Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) safety systems are at hand to assist the driver on the road. It also debuts Ford's rear inflatable seatbelts to the world. These are designed to reduce head, neck and chest injuries for rear-seat passengers. In the event of an accident the belt rapidly expands to disperse crash forces across a body area five times greater than that achieved by a conventional seatbelt.
