Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition

The Range Rover has always been the ultimate luxury on 4WD wheels. However people at Land Rover tend to disagree with that. They went back to the drawing board and the result is the most luxurious Range Rover money can buy.

Rear of a normal Range Rover

It’s what I would call the result of one picking the best items in the options list. Based on the new Range Rover, the ultimate edition provides first-class-style accommodation never before seen in a Range Rover.
FEATURES
Outside it looks almost similar to the model it based on, however it has an all new and unique 20" multi-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels, and unique tailgate badgering, body colored door handles, dark atlas radiator grille and side vents. This gives it a unique and sophisticated finish. Customers also have the option of an Exterior Design Pack that includes extra body kit fittings and deployable side steps.

Apple iPad come as standard
It has the all new LR-TDV8 4.4-litre diesel engine with parallel sequential turbo charging, found in the Range Rover. The engine gives out 300 bhp and will take it from stand still to 100km/h in just 7.5 seconds. The top speed is now increased to 210km/h. It boasts of a fuel consumption of 9.3 liters per 100 km covered. Connect to this engine is a ZF automatic gearbox. The gear box has a system called Driver Type Detection.

This monitors driver inputs and the car's systems to optimize the response of the gearbox to the driver's style. Another system called the Curve Detection makes sure the gearbox avoids annoying up shifts and holds on to the same gear when taking a sequence of bends. The gearbox also monitors the driver's use of the brake together with the rate of deceleration to set up the correct gear for entry and exit to the corner.

Airline seat design
Another engine in the option list is the 5.5 liter supercharged V8 supercharged petrol engine. The supercharged version gives out a whooping 500 hp! It will accelerate the huge piece luxury item to 100km/h in just 5.9 seconds. However compared to the normal Range Rover the 5.5 liter engine is connected to the 8 speed ZF automatic transmission system. Paddle-shift are available as standard in ultimate edition.

It can just, like the normal Range Rover, tackle any surface thanks to Terrain Response, Hill Start Assist and Gradient Acceleration Control. It also boasts of a radar blind spot monitoring system that warns of vehicles and objects in the blind spot area. A Surround Camera system makes life much easier in car parks. Safety features include Anti-lock braking system (ABS), Emergency brake assist (EBA), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Gradient Release Control (GRC).
LUXURIOUS AND FUNCTIONAL INTERIOR
The front leather seats are comfortable providing the driver and the front passenger with clear visibility of the road ahead. The Waterfall lighting gives the interior the delightful lit atmosphere. The 12-inch TFT instrument display, behind the steering wheel, provides greater versatility than conventional instruments while the 8-inch Dual View infotainment screen displays a different image to driver and passenger. This means, for example, the driver can view the navigation display while the passenger watches a video

Wine chiller
Since this is more of a chauffeur vehicle a lot of luxuries are located at the back. There are two stand alone electric rear seats that enhance space and comfort for the rear passengers. The rear console extends to the back of the rear seats. It also has a small fridge for storage of wine bottles and wine glasses. It has a machined aluminum laptop table and two Apple iPads as standards (the first car to do so).

Gear selector similar to the one on current Jaguars
The rear seats also message and warm the passenger. One can even slant the chair, just like in an airplane, to a desirable position. The seats also have an airline-style winged head restraints and four-way adjustable lumbar support. The rear seat controls also include a facility for moving the front passenger seat forward to gain extended legroom when the front seat is unoccupied. There is high end semi-aniline leather seating and Oxford leather on the door casings, dashboard top, roof and steering wheel. Kalahari wood veneers are used on the facials and door top rolls and unique interior colours of either dark cherry or Arabica. At the back super yacht inspired teak floor with metal and leather detailing give it complete the interior.

Distinct looking grills
The entertainment department is taken care of by a powerful Logic 7, 1200W Harman Kardon High Dynamics Audio System with 15 independent channels driving 19 premium quality speakers.
The ultimate edition Range Rover is available on order and only 500 units will be produced.
