In celebration of their 125th birthday Mercedes launched its most favorite saloon at the recent Geneva Motor show. The new Mercedes comes in three versions; a coupe, a saloon and a station wagon.

Rear view looks similar to the previous model |
The series features all new design elements consisting of more expressive and dynamic contours and a fresh new radiator grille. |
Restyled headlamps |
The central air intake opens out upwards in a V-shape, forming a visual base unit for the radiator grille. Beneath the headlamps, sections blend into the feature lines along the vehicle flanks, linking the front section with the sides. |
The cocpit |
The side air inlets in the bumper are now positioned low down, giving the car a more road-hugging appearance. |
C Class Estate

The headlights have been modified to create a livelier and firm impression. They act together with the bonnet, radiator grille and bumper to emphasise the V-shape of the front section. |

The halogen headlamps are arranged in such a way that low beam is on the outside and high beam on the inside. |
Steering wheel |
The chemistry is accomplished by indicators which are neatly arranged in the outer corner formed with the front wing. |

The tail lights are even more neatly integrated into the rear section by a continuous covering lens. They look more or less similar to the previous model design. All the models come with aluminium made ‘skeleton’ and bonnet that provide a rigid body work that is light. |
A great combination |
The engine options are now Mercedes praised BlueEFFICIENCY. These engines provide high horsepower but consume less fuel compared to old generation engine. The most powerful is a V6 BlueEFFICIENCY engine that delivers 306 bhp. |
C class front grill |
The interior has also been restyled with a new integrated screen and new surface grain. The touch surfaces of the controls are now finely detailed and galvanised. A stepped extension to the instrument cluster now also accommodates the central display. |

The instrument cluster changes continue into the front passenger side while the central, trapezoidal air vents and the round vents on the outside are by galvanised trim. |

The leather trim interior, well design accommodative seats together with the four zone climate control make passengers feel right at home on the new C class. Optional extras include state of the art DVD entertainment unit and a WIFI receiver. |

The key note speech however is summarized by the a total of ten new driving assistance systems ranging from ATTENTION ASSIST drowsiness detection to DISTRONIC PLUS, Adaptive High beam Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Speed Limit Assist, Parking guidance including PARKTRONIC , PRE-SAFE® Brake, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist |
Front compartment |
The assistance systems are based on the latest radar, camera and sensor technology, and cover frequent accident causes such as driving too closely, fatigue and darkness. They aid the driver in getting the best out of the C Class series in any situation. Mercedes say that this is the best C Class series since the first model was launched back in 1999. |
VIP lounge |
The saloon version will be available in Kenya soon with a price tag of around Kshs 7million for the most powerful model.
